The Maine Chapter of the Society of Young Magicians meets the first Sunday of each month, noon to 2 at 49 Franklin Street Rumford, Maine's Capital of Magic.
If you are interested in magic or becoming a magician, you are welcome to visit us. Our guests are sworn to secrecy, and you must promise not to tell any secrets you may learn here.
We have an Earn-a Wand Program where you can earn wand points for attending and participating in activities. 100 points = professional stainless steel wand, 200 points = a magic trick, 400 points, a history report and a 5 minute routine = a magic book.
We learn magic tricks, history, performing skills, speaking, and presenting skills, and many other things throughout the year.
We participate in Magic Week and present a free show to the Rumford Community Home each year.
