How can you become the member of the year for 2009?
Here are some of the ways to gain points.
Meetings and Events
10 pts. - Attend meetings
5 pts. - Participate in meetings with magic
5 pts. - Participate in meetings with a snack to share
5 pts - Teach a sleight of the month
5 pts. - Bring a potential member as a guest
25 pts. - That guest becomes a new member into the SAM or SYM
25 pts. - Lecture for the SYM
25 pts. - Participate in a club fund-raiser
50 pts. - Organize a club fund-raiser + 1 point every $10 raised
Participate in Magic Week
25 pts. library display
25 pts. Perform a free show for the less fortunate.
10 pts. Donate book(s) to your local Library or school
What are the rewards for being chosen as member of the year?
Local dues paid - $20
National Dues reimbursed - $50
Lectures are paid for the following year - value$10-$20 each
MoY chair, front, center for the lectures
$100 credit to local Magic Shop
MoY page at www.sam174.com
MoY Certificate and/or plaque
What are the criteria?
Must be a member in good standing to local SAM for the complete year.
Must be a member in good standing to national SAM for the complete year.
Must have most points in one calendar year January to January.
Award will be presented at each January meeting.
Cannot be MoY for the two years previous
SAM 174 reserves the right to whithhold awarding MoY until a suitable canidate is deserving.
